Dress Up day tomorrow!!

Children are allowed to dress up tomorrow as what they want to be when they grow up!!  Do they want be a doctor?  A fireman?  A teacher?  I can't wait to see what they want their careers to be!!

Parents please note:  students are NOT allowed to dress in Halloween costumes.  Uniform pants and shoes must still be worn

Social Studies Projects

Wow!!  What an amazing job we did on our Social Studies Family Projects!  It was so interesting to hear all about what school was like long ago.  Everyone did a great job listening to each other's presentations.  School REALLY was different!  Here are some of our presenters....

Poetry

Good morning all!

One of our "I Can" statements for ELA this week is poetry.  I read them a poem yesterday titled "Welcome Fall".  I encouraged them to close their eyes, listen to the poem, and visualize.  We will be working with this poem throughout the week so I'm going to attach a copy of it so that you can read and talk with your children about poetry at home.

Welcome Fall

Fall has just begun
As summer ends
The color of the leaves gleaming in the sun
Jumping in leaves with friends
as they tumble down
Forming a quilt on the ground
Hearing the crinkles as you jump in
Twisting and turning in the air
Feeling the brisk air blow in your face
The moon and delightful smell of Grandma's
pumpkin pie
This is FALL
